Colorful Coasters

What You’ll Need:

• scissors
• ruler
• plastic-foam tray
• pencil
• tape
• yarn

How to Make It:

1. Cut a 4-inch circle (the size of a plastic coffee-can lid) from a clean plastic-foam tray.

2. With a dull pencil, poke a small circle of holes in the middle of the plastic-foam circle. You can also poke holes around the outside edge of the plastic-foam circle.

3. Wrap a small piece of tape around the end of a 2-foot-long piece of yarn, and thread the yarn through the holes and around the edges of the coaster. Tie the ends of the yarn in a small knot on the bottom of the coaster. You can make different patterns and use yarn of various colors.
